Kapishya Hot Springs Lodge

The Lodge

Built in 1956 by Gore-Browne's son in law, John Harvey, it's initial purpose was to serve as a family cottage. Despite this it would still accommodate 6 people a week throughout the year and was eventually transformed into a commercial lodge. Since 1980, it functions as head quarters of Shiwa Safaris.

Today, the lodge offers six high quality chalets with en-suit facilities, all built from local materials. They all face the Mansha river and are surrounded by ravishing green gardens with variety of radiant plants and flowers. Able to accommodate up to six people, chalets are a great option for groups of friends or families looking for a calming and peaceful place for their holiday.

In addition, The River View Lounge situated in the main building serves as a great place for board meetings, as well as less formal gatherings. It consists of mini library as well as TV with full DSTV package.

Campsite

Our large secluded camping area is situated on the banks of the Mansha river. It accommodates anything from tents to camper vans and features fuel efficient stoves and braais (firewood provided). You are welcome to cook your own food, or eat at the main lodge. Toilets and showers with hot and cold running water are also located on site.
